Youngest Dutchman scales Everest

Mountaineer Erik Ravestijn (25) has become the youngest Dutch climber to reach the top of Everest, news agency ANP writes on Thursday.

Yesterday’s successful attempt at conquering the 8,848 meter high mountain came after an earlier expedition last year fell foul of Chinese rules concerning entry into Tibet.
Last night, 65-year old adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes also made to it the top, becoming the oldest British citizen to have done so.
