Warm spring sets more records

Last April was the second warmest April in the Netherlands in 300 years with an average temperature of 12.2 Celsius, the KNMI weather bureau said on Friday.


Spring as a whole (March, April and May) was the second warmest since 1901, with an average temperature of 10.8 Celsius. Spring 2007 was almost a full degree warmer.
Nine of the 10 warmest springs since 1901 have been recorded since 1990, the KNMI said.
