Dutch Eurovision song festival hopefuls, De Toppers, failed to make it to Saturday’s finals with their entry Shine.

It is the fifth time in a row that the Netherlands has failed to qualify for the finals, which take place in Moscow on Saturday.
The trio, all stars in their own right, said they did not want to dramatise their loss.
Gordon, who had threatened to pull out if Moscow used violence to break up a gay rights rally scheduled for Saturday, said it had been a fantastic experience. ‘We will take part next year… until we win,’ the Volkskrant reported him as saying with a smile.
‘We did our best. We did what we had to do and our performance was good,’ René Froger told a tv show.
