Shell to restructure under new CEO
Oil giant Shell is to restructure its operations under new CEO Peter Voser in an effort to cut costs and streamline processes, the company announced on Wednesday.
‘Organisationally, we are too complex, and our culture is still too consensus-oriented. Our costs are simply too high,’ Voser said in an email to staff, which was quoted by news agency Reuters.
Among the changes being planned: the three product divisions are to be merged into two and there will be more emphasis on technology.
Job cuts cannot be ruled out, a spokesman told news agency ANP.
