ChristenUnie worried about RBS

Minor coalition party ChristenUnie is concerned about the appointment of Royal Bank of Scotland as the state’s in-house bank, parliamentary party leader Arie Slob is quoted as saying by Nos tv.

Slob said the bank does business with environmentally-unfriendly companies, weapons traders and dubious foreign governments.
If the Netherlands wants companies to be more socially responsible the government should make sure firms which work for it meet these criteria, Nos quoted Slob as saying.
He plans to raise the issue today during the parliamentary debate on the government’s successes and failures over the past year.
