Ban on short-selling lifted
The government is to lift the ban on short-selling shares on June 1, the financial sector watchdog AFM has announced.
The ban was introduced last September in an effort to create stability on the financial markets. Britain has already scrapped its ban on short-selling, by which traders speculate on share price falls.
