Turkish Airline victims go to court

Three survivors of February’s plane crash near Schiphol airport have begun legal action against Boeing and Turkish Airlines in Chicago, news agency ANP reports on Friday.

Lawyers Manuel von Ribbeck and Mide Eidson hope the court will find out what went wrong on the Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul, which crashed shortly before landing, killing nine people. Four of the victims were US citizens, some of whom worked for Boeing.
The parents of one of the victims are also involved in the case, ANP said.
The initial report by accident investigators said that a faulty altitude meter probably caused the crash.
