‘Stop smoking aids in health insurance’
Aids to help smokers kick the habit should be included in the basic health insurance package, the health insurance council said on Wednesday.
Psychological help with stopping smoking is already covered but nicotine patches and other medicines which reduce the urge to smoke are not currently included.
Health minister Ab Klink will take a decision by the summer.
