Recession clearly felt, says KPN boss

The effects of the recession can now be clearly felt on KPN’s business operations, CEO Ad Scheepbouwer said on Tuesday.


The company was getting fewer orders and existing customers are more prepared to reopen contracts, Scheepbouwer said.
He was speaking at the publication of KPN’s first quarter figures on Tuesday.
First-quarter sales from ordinary operations were virtually unchanged on 2008 at €3.38bn, KPN said. Net profit fell by €17m to €317m.
