Mercedes dealer files for court protection

Mercedes dealer Liam, which has branches in Leiden, Alphen and Amsterdam among others, has applied for court protection from creditors, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Thursday.


The company has a workforce of 180, and focuses on smaller vans and trucks as well as luxury cars.
Liam’s problems follow the 25% drop in new car sales over the first three months of this year.
Last week, car dealer Kroymans also filed for court protection with reported debts of €1.4bn.
