The Netherlands is one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to hosting infected websites, according to internet security firm Symantec.

Only the US, China and Ukraine have more websites where visitors can pick up malware – software which is infected or spreads spam – without being aware of it, Symantec says.
Last year, some 19% of all the compromised sites in Europe, the Middle East and Africa were hosted by Dutch servers.
Symantec said the high Dutch ranking is probably due to an attack which used banner advertisements to install a Trojan virus from a website based in the Netherlands.
