Groningen gets 19 top female academics

Groningen University has awarded Rosalind Franklin fellowships to 19 female academics, mainly from abroad.

The fellowship, which runs for five years, was introduced in 2003 in an effort to stimulate the number of women in top research. Over the past six years, 21 female fellows have been appointed at Groningen, eight of whom have since been made professors.
