Flexible pension age to be speeded up
The introduction of a flexible state pension age which will reward people who stay in work longer is to be speeded up, news agency ANP reports on Tuesday.
Social affairs minister Piet Hein Donner plans to bring in new legislation as soon as possible, ANP says.
Unions and employers are currently looking at the idea of a variable pension age as an alternative to government plans to increase the retirement age for everyone from 65 to 67. Their recommendations are due on October 1.
However, Donner is keen to get started on legislation allowing people to work up to five year longer as soon as possible, ANP says.
