Fewer fly away this May holiday

Some 148,000 people are expected to move through Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport on Friday, ahead of the start of a two-week school break.

Last year the airport processed 161,000 passengers on the busiest day of the May break.
Most of the decline is due to fewer Dutch people going away – 53,000 compared with 66,000 last year, news agency ANP reports.
