Crisis cuts our assets byan average €26,000

The financial crisis has cut the assets of the average Dutch household by €26,000 so far, according to calculations by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In total, Dutch households have lost €325bn, equivalent to 56% of gross domestic product, the accountants’ group says.
The loss is mainly due to falling house prices, lower share prices and the decline in value of pension funds.
