Rabobank tops Dutch sponsor list
Rabobank is still the biggest sponsor in the country, spending €50m a year on sports, the arts and other activities, according to research by magazine SponsorTribune.
At least €13m of Rabobank’s sponsorship cash goes on its professional cycling team.
Heineken, with a sponsorship budget of €25m and Aegon with €18m remain in second and third place. ABN Amro, now nationalised, is fourth with a budget of €17m and sporting goods firm Nike is fifth with €15m.
In total, the top 25 sponsors spend €264m on supporting other activities, SponsorTribune says.
