Pension fund bosses forego bonuses

The directors of the civil service and health service workers pension funds will not get a bonus over 2008, the Volkskrant reports on Friday.

Both funds (ABP and Zorg&Welzijn) have booked enormous losses on their investments and have not increased pensions in line with inflation this year.
In 2007, the directors earned a performance-related bonus in the region of €50,000 each – between 10% and 20% of their basic salary, the paper says.
