Ex-Schiphol boss not honest about noise
Former Schiphol airport head Gerlach Cerfontaine should be taken to court for deliberately deceiving people about the amount of noise they would suffer from the Polderbaan runway, says Spaarndam local Rob de Vris.
Cerfontaine admitted in Intermediair magazine that he had not been honest and that ‘people were sold the fact there would be less noise’.
And the practise of describing the Polderbaan runway as the ‘environmental runway’ was ‘of course nonsense’, the magazine quoted Cerfontaine as saying.
