Dutch journalists arrested in Indonesia

Four Dutch journalists have been arrested in the Indonesian province of Papua while reporting on a pro-independence demonstration, news agency ANP reports.

The Dutch world service says three of the journalists are freelancers and one works for the NRC newspaper.
The Indonesian authorities told the world service the four had been arrested for breaking immigration laws and filming without permission.
The four are said to be following Nicolaas Jouwe (85), founder of the Free Papua organisation, who has been visiting the country since Sunday after 40 years of exile.
