Dutch baseball star gets Toronto try out
Dutch international baseball pitcher Leon Boyd made such an impression on scouts during the World Baseball Classic that he has been invited for a try-out with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 25-year-old, who has a Dutch mother and Canadian father, currently plays for Rotterdam’s DOOR Neptunus.
The Netherlands caused a stir at the WBC by progressing to the second round after putting out the highly-regarded Dominican Republic.
