Both Amsterdam’s Ajax and FC Twente won the first leg of their round of 32 matches in the Uefa Cup competition on Thursday night.


Ajax beat Italy’s Fiorentina away 1-0, and Twente beat Marseilles 1-0, also away.
The return legs take place next week.
