The director of Zwolle prison will appear in court later this month charged with manslaughter, the public prosecution department said on Thursday.

The prison director is accused of failing to provide help to a 47-year-old prisoner who died in an isolation cell last year. A post mortem examination showed he died of an acute intestinal bleeding.
