Organised crime link to Leiderdorp deaths
Two men found shot dead near a pancake restaurant in Leiderdorp on Thursday were both underworld figures who were well known to the police, the Telegraaf reports.
One man has been identified as Boneka Belserang who had served a five year jail sentence in connection with a shooting in the garage of Amsterdam nightclub The Ministry in 2005.
Two other men connected to the shooting have themselves been recently murdered, the paper says.
Belserang is also suspected of shooting a former policeman turned crook, Martin Hoogland, in 2004. Hoogland was killed while he was on leave from an open prison. He had been jailed for 20 years for killing drug baron Klaas Bruinsma and onother man.
