Luxury yacht owners under investigation
Some 25% of the luxury yachts and speed boats investigated by the police are financed by the proceeds of crime, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.
The owners of 12 out of 40 boats are now subject of a formal investigation into criminal cash, the paper said. ‘The research points to drugs money, such as the proceeds from marijuana plantations,’ water police chief Peter van Haasteren told the paper.
