‘Industrial power users need compensation’
The Netherlands must adopt a German plan which calls for partial compensation for businesses faced with high power costs, reports the Financieele Dagblad on Tuesday.
The call by Hans Grunfeld, head of the Dutch and European commercial power users organisations follows recent suggestions by the German junior economic affairs minister Jochem Hohmann.
‘Companies here also face turnover reductions of 35%-50%. Hohmann’s plan is interesting. There should be a European solution. But the Netherlands certainly should follow this [German] plan,” Grunfeld told the FD.
