Housing minister Eberhard van der Laan is looking into the possibilities of prosecuting the former boss of the Rochdale housing corporation, Hubert Möllenkamp, the Parool reports on Tuesday.
The Labour minister also wants to know from the sector’s regulatory body how Möllenkamp got away with using company money to finance a millionaire life style and conducting dubious property transactions.
Möllenkamp ran a chauffeur driven Maserati and used a business associate’s villa in Spain.
The director was sacked on Sunday as director of the Amsterdam based housing corporation.
Rochdale’s temporary top man Gerard Erents has said the corporation will not hesitate to notify the police in case of fraud and that Möllenkamp will have to pay back any misappropriated funds in full, the paper says.
