Criticised housing board resigns

The entire supervisory board at Amsterdam housing corporation Rochdale has resigned, three days after director Hubert Möllenkamp was sacked for breaking corporation rules.

Housing minister Eberhard van der Laan has set up an investigation into events at Rochdale, which is one of the biggest social housing providers in Amsterdam. Other probes are also under way.
Möllenkamp was allegedly involved in a number of shady property transactions and boosted his pay and pension scheme without informing the board.
