A majority of workers at chip machinery maker ASML has rejected company plans to delay paying their 13th month bonus and replace it with share options and a cash sum, the Financieele Dagblad reports.


The company, which has been hard hit by the credit crisis, wants to reduce its wage bill. Workers are happy to help but want guarantees that they are compensated, a CNV union spokesman told the paper.
