AEX sinks to 13-year low
The Amsterdam blue-chip index fell to its lowest level since December 1995 on Friday, dipping as low as 215.50 by 2.30pm. Financial stocks were hardest hit, with ING down 13% and Aegon 14%, pressured by the news that the US government is to increase its interest in Citigroup.
