Some 200 jobs to go at Dow Benelux

Some 200 jobs are to go at the Dutch operations of the US chemicals group Dow, the company says in a statement.

Dow has already reached a deal with its works council on limiting the number of compulsory redundancies, partly by focusing on early retirement.
The reorganisation is part of a worldwide revamp announced in December in which a total of 5,000 permanent and 6,000 temporary jobs will go.
Twenty factories are being closed, including three in Teurneuzen, close to the Belgian border.
