‘Six Dutch involved with FARC guerrillas’

At least six Dutch nationals are involved with the FARC left-wing guerrilla movement in Colombia, news agency ANP reports weekly magazine Semana as saying.

Alongside the missing young woman Tanja Nijmeijer, who has not been seen since May 2007, five others are operating as contacts in Europe, the magazine says. It bases its claims on the laptop belonging to a FARC commander who was killed in an attack on a guerrilla base in March 2008.
In September 2007 it emerged that Nijmeijer was with FARC rebels after her diaries were found and published in South American papers.
