Nine soldiers to appear in Austrian court
Nine Dutch soldiers are due to appear in a court in Austria on Wednesday in connection with a brawl at a disco in 2007, reports the Volkskrant.
In total 19 off duty soldiers were involved in a fight with locals in the winter resort of Zell am See.
According to their lawyer, the nine soldiers who have been summoned to appear in court tomorrow are refusing to show up because they claim they had only been trying to end the dispute and help a colleague who had been wounded.
Nine other soldiers have agreed to a settlement out of court and the case against one was dropped.
