MPs back emergency road building plan
MPs from all parties except the left-wing green Groenlinks have backed transport minister Camile Eurling’s emergency measures to ease congestion, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.
Eurlings wants to add extra lanes to motorways in a number of places using shorter planning procedures.
MPs back the move, on the condition that Eurlings sticks to the 30 agreed projects, the paper says. The A1, A28, A9 and A7 – all notorious congestion blackspots – are among the roads scheduled for widening under the emergency measures.
