More home-owners than tenants

Of the seven million homes in the Netherlands, 53% are now lived in by their owners, the national statistics office CBS said on Wednesday.

But in Amsterdam and Rotterdam 70% and 61% of homes respectively are rented.
The most owner-occupied properties are to be found in the area of Rozendaal in the eastern province of Gelderland where more than 80% of homes are non-rental.
