Junior education minister Sharon Dijksma is to meet crèche organisations this week to discuss whether extra security measures are necessary following the bloodbath at a childcare centre in Belgium last week, reports the Telegraaf.

Dijksma told the paper crèches in this country are, in principle, safe but said parents should not hesitate to speak to staff if they have any concerns.
Two babies and a childminder were stabbed to death in the Belgian incident and a number of other babies seriously injured.
