Marco Been to move to Feyenoord
Marco Been is to take over as head coach at struggling Rotterdam football club Feyenoord from July 1 on a three-year contract, Feyenoord said in a statement on Wednesday.
Been replaces Gertjan Verbeek who lost the support of players following the club’s poor performance so far this season.
Earlier this month Been, who is currently head coach at NEC, said that he wanted to see this season out with the Nijmegen club.
Been was employed by Feyenoord between 2000 and 2005, first as assistant coach to Leo Beenhakker and Bert van Marwijk, and then as the reserve team’s trainer for a season.
