ING cuts 750 jobs in the US

ING is to cut 750 jobs in the US, some 8% of its total workforce there, because of the credit crisis and economic downturn.

The jobs will go across the group’s entire US operations and are aimed at keeping the company on course, spokeswoman Dana Ripley told news agency Novum.
ING, which received a €10bn capital injection from the Dutch government last year, booked its first ever loss in the third quarter of 2008.
