AZ stretches lead over Ajax to six points
Alkmaar football club AZ’s lead over Ajax stretched to six points this weekend after the Amsterdam club lost 1-0 away to Groningen.
Meanwhile AZ beat De Graafschap of Doetinchem 2-0, to give it 47 points from 19 games.
FC Twente is now on 40 points, just one point behind Ajax after beating Heracles Alemelo 1-2.
The Gelderland match between Vitesse (Arnhem) and NEC (Nijmegen) ended in a 0-0 draw.
PSV Eindhoven drew 2-2 against Breda’s NAC while Feyenoord of Rotterdam drew 1-1 against Willem II of Tilburg.
