Violence erupts at Twente Uefa game

There was a violent confrontation between supporters of football clubs Twente and Paris St Germain in Paris prior to the Uefa cup match on Thursday evening, which Twente lost 4-0.

Around 200 Twente supporters were set upon by 60 French hooligans armed with knives and flares. One 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with an axe wound on his head, says the AD. The wound was stitched and he was discharged.
Police broke up the disturbance with teargas.
