US firm may buy Reed Elsevier unit
US investment company Bain Capital is the strongest contender to take over the magazine division of Anglo Dutch publishing group Reed Elsevier, reports UK newspaper The Independent.
The paper says Bain is prepared to pay €785m for the magazines, which is below analysts’ expectations.
