Too many foreigners in football

Half of Holland’s premier league football clubs will have more than the permitted number of players if quotas suggested by football’s world governing body Fifa come into effect, reports the Volkskrant.

Fifa wants to limit the number of foreign players in the start-up line to a maximum of five. Groningen has the most foreign players, fielding an average of 8.79, the paper says.
England’s Arsenal tops the list with an average of 10.37 foreign players in its basic team.
