Environment ministry inspectors said on Thursday that 28% of the fireworks on sale are unsafe, reports news agency Novum.
The inspectors checked 500 different types of firework and found that 140 went off to quickly or fell over too easily. These will be removed from shops.
The figure of 28% is the same as last year and inspectors say they are ‘disappointed’ the sector is not taking its responsibilities seriously.
