Shell shuts Moerdijk plant till year end
Oil giant Shell has halted production at one of its Moerdijk factories until the end of the year due to a strong decline in demand.
The closure does not involve job losses or reduced working hours, a spokesman told news agency ANP. The plant makes chemicals used in the production of polystyrene.
Last week, Dow Chemicals said it was closing three factories in Terneuzen.
