Rabobank poised to cut interest rates
Rabobank, the cooperative bank which has not had any Dutch government cash support, is poised to cut mortgage interest rates by at least 0.25%, CEO Bert Heemskerk told a tv show on Monday night.
‘A proposal is ready to lower the interest rate by 0.25% to 0.33%. I think other banks will do the same,’ he told the Pauw en Witteman show. This would reduce the interest rate on a 10-year fixed mortgage to 5.25% and 5% for a variable mortgage.
