KLM can take Martinair over
The European Commission has given the green light to KLM’s full takeover of charter company Martinair, the Telegraaf reports.
KLM currently owns 50% of Martinair. The rest is in the hands of Danish shipping group Maersk which wants to sell it.
The paper says without permission from the Commission, Martinair, which has 2,000 workers, may have had to fold.
