Home help fee does not cover cost
The cost of providing home helps and other home nursing services is €21 an hour, but councils are only paying €19 an hour, NOS tv reports on Friday.
The gap has arisen because home care organisations slashed their prices fearing they would lose contracts, NOS tv says. Now many are in financial trouble and want the councils to pay more for their services.
