40% Poles are under-paid, says poll

Some four out of 10 Polish nationals working in the Netherlands are earning less than the official minimum wage, according to research by Rotterdam city council.


Most of the 400 Poles questioned work in the fruit and vegetables sector.
The research also showed that one in 10 has a university or college degree and 45% feel at home in the Netherlands. Some 80,000 Polish nationals are thought to work in Holland.
