Most police officers face aggression
Most police officers (95%) have been confronted by aggression or violence while on duty, particularly from serial criminals, according to a survey conducted for the police academy.
The survey shows that 25% of police officers are injured and 15% take sick leave after an attack while 16% enjoy their work less following an aggressive confrontation.
