Heijmans in further problems

Construction concern Heijmans said on Thursday that it is experiencing further problems because of the credit crisis. Agreements with banks about financial support are now in danger.

The company already lowered its full-year profit forecast in October to €55m, almost half its earlier estimate.
Heijmans blames a sharp increase in costs as a result of delays and problems with suppliers and sub-contractors for its difficulties.
Analyst Paul Linssen, told the Volkskrant: ‘Add to that the current market situation and you have a poisonous cocktail’.
Heijmans is due to give a formal trading update on Friday.
