Glen Mills reform school to be renamed

The Glen Mills reform school in Wezep is to be renamed on the request of the American Glenn Mills organisation, the NRC reports.

Glen Mills, an American system which uses peer pressure to reform behaviour, has been criticised on several occasions for using an illegal method to restrain disruptive youngsters and for not providing enough public information on what goes on at the school.
Research showed that 75% of inmates re-offended on release.
Last year, the school was turned into a closed institution and the American founders said it no longer deserved the name Glen Mills, says the paper.
